Johri village in the district of Baghpat is the hub and hotbed for budding shooters, particularly young girls who come to the academy from all across. The academy is about two decades old and has been the learning ground for some of the best shooters that the country has seen over the past two decades.

 

‘Baghpat Ke Baghi’  is a documentary project which is centered around the life of Doli Jatav, who is a student at the academy. The documentary explores the trials and tribulations of the life of the 9 year old girl, who has shot to fame at a tender age. It also throws light at the achievements of the academy and the process involved in honing and polishing the skills of the students of the academy. The life of Varsha Tomar, who happens to be the inspiration of Doli, is also explored in the documentary.

The documentary showcases the many people whose efforts and contributions go into making the lives of young girls from the village and across better and empowering them.
